Intrepid explorer, custom lettering design

Below is an example of one of our custom lettering designs, part of a growing portfolio of images that we will be using in our up and coming amazon store.

When we set out to design this piece we though to ourselves about how this particular lettering really should make a statement. We decided that a bit of subtle cropping of the stems would work out pretty well. The pleasant surprise is how the x in explorer turned out. To achieve the same correct angle as the other letters, the top right hand part of the x had to become much thinner. As soon as we did it we realised what we had here and personally, we like it.

Also, we made the decision to put both words together and separate them with colours. In this particular case the design worked out really well with this one enhancement.
